Morning — Paddle
- Early kayak/canoe on Lake Lincoln while it’s calm and cool. Paddle the shoreline, spot turtles and herons, maybe troll a line. (Kayaking guide.)
- PFDs on every kid. Tandem-paddle the youngest.
Midday — Beach + Lunch
- Pull up at the swim beach to cool off; Grilled Cheese lunch in the shade.
Afternoon — Bike
- Confident riders take Old Schoolhouse Trail (3.85 mi, intermediate) for the Lake Lincoln view, or Blackhawk Point (5.75 mi, easy–intermediate) for a mellower ride.
- Little kids cruise the campground loops/park road. Helmets for everyone. (Biking guide.)
Evening — Taco Night
- Dinner: Taco Bar / Walking Tacos (Younger Smiths host) using the pre-seasoned meats. Crush-the-chip-bag walking tacos are a kid favorite.
- Campfire and games; early-ish night—tomorrow’s the big one.
Check the sky before paddling or riding. Afternoon storms build fast; have a rain/shade plan and be ready to pivot to camp games.
