Settle in. An easy first full day: the lake, fishing, and getting our rhythm.

Morning
- Big Camp Breakfast (eggs, bacon, hashbrowns) — see the schedule.
- Easy first fishing off the bank at Lake Lincoln—bluegill are the perfect confidence-builder for kids. (Fishing guide.)
- Let everyone find their feet: short walks, the Lakeside Trail, scoping the beach.
Midday — Beat the Heat
- Beach session at Lake Lincoln (8 a.m.–8 p.m.; swim only at the beach).
- Shade, water, snacks, and naps for the little ones. (Swimming guide.)
Afternoon
- Finish setting up the group HQ; build the snack/drink station.
- Optional short hike or creek wade in Big Sugar Creek.
- Set the kid rules as a group (buddy system, water-with-an-adult, boundaries).
Evening
- Dinner: Burgers & Dogs + Corn on the Cob (Harris hosts).
- Check the amphitheater board for the naturalist program—a great low-key first evening out. (Wildlife & programs.)
- Campfire + first firefly catch-and-release at dusk.
Don’t over-plan today. A relaxed settle-in day pays off all week.
